Dance
Factory was founded and operated by award winning Birmingham born
DJ, Andy Griffiths. Having worked in some capacity as a
DJ/Promoter since the age of 14, his first "gig" was an open air
party for a local brewery. At that time he used basic equipment,
operating a tape-deck and a belt driven turntable. This event was
held in the West Midlands where he then continued to operate as a
"mobile disco" for a number of years. His career highlight at that
stage was finally selling his old equipment, and upgrading.
Andy continued working all over the UK with residencies in various
clubs, which allowed him to play almost anything he wanted to. This
is where Andy transformed from a mobile DJ, into a dedicated
full-time music lover. Andy has worked in clubs all over the UK with
such acts as the Pasadenas, The Real Thing, Kenny Thomas, Phats &
Small, M People, China Black, and Limahl to name but a few.
In 2004 Andy relocated to Glasgow, and continued his prolific
entertainment career. Often using his own custom-built rig, he also
organises and promotes parties for several high profile customers.
Life has gone full circle for our award winning custodian. Now in
2006 we find Dance Factory merging with one of the largest dedicated
mobile disco companies in Scotland. Combining our strengths with the
knowledge and experience of Executive DJs, places the two companies
far above the hopes and expectations of our nearest rivals. |
